Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) fell 0.786% or 39.35 points to close at 4,967.77 points in the week ended Thursday, 11 October, weighed by the market’s heavyweights.
The ADX’s trading volume reached 138.54 million shares during the week, generating AED 531.16 million in turnover.
The consumer staples sector fell 3.7%, after Agthia and Foodco dipped 4.7% and 9.4%, respectively.
The banking sector also fell 0.5% after First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) slipped 0.13% and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) lost 2.7%.
The Telecommunications sector and its stock Etisalat shed 0.9% each, while the real estate fell 0.8% after Aldar properties sank 1.16%.
