Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw gains this week, backed by the rise of the banks and telecom sectors
The general index rose 0.08% or 3.74 points to reach 4,593.58 points.
Trading volume reached 247.76 million shares this week, compared to 575.518 million shares last week. Turnover stood at AED 672.298 million, compared to AED 1.025 billion.
The telecom sector rose 0.25% as Etisalat gained 0.25%. Likewise, the banks sector grew 0.65% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) advanced 1.84% and 1.12% respectively.
On the flipside, the real estate sector retreated 0.87% as Aldar Properties slipped 1.03%.
The energy sector decreased 4.47% due to a decline in Dana Gas and TAQA levelled down 5.08% and 1.89% respectively.
