Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Thursday to end the losing streak it had maintained for six successive sessions.
The main index fell 0.1% to reach 4,492.66 points, following the decline of banks and energy stocks.
Trading volume reached 87.09 million shares on Thursday, compared to 124.07 million shares on Wednesday. Turnover amounted to AED 109.37 million, compared to AED 243.816 million.
The energy sector fell 1.88% as Dana Gas and TAQA levelled down 3.23% and 3.33%, respectively.
The banks sector retreated 0.32% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) slid 0.69%.
The real estate sector tumbled 0.21% as Aldar Properties and Eshraq Properties sank 0.43% and 1.22%, respectively.
On the other hand, the telecom sector rose 0.28% as Etisalat went up 0.28%. The services sector led gainers with a 1.02% rise.
TAQA was the value leader after generating AED 33.63 million from the exchange of 52.63 million shares.
