Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) maintained its rise for the third successive week, backed by the real estate and telecom sectors.
The general index went up 0.19% or 8.78 points to reach 4,585.51 points.
Turnover stood at AED 1.022 billion this week, compared to AED 925.08 million last week. Trading volume reached 569.703 million shares, compared to 358.329 million shares.
The real estate sector advanced 4.51%, with a traded value of AED 365.63 million, backed by Aldar Properties which grew 6.2% and generated AED 197.78 million.
Methaq Takaful Insurance saw an active trading, generating AED 122.377 million.
The telecom sector gained 0.25% after Etisalat increased 0.25%. Similarly, the energy sector went up 0.64% as Dana Gas and TAQA grew 1.72% and 3.64% respectively.
On the other hand, the banks sector declined 0.47% as First Gulf Bank (FGB) and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), shrugging off the rise of Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) by 3.61%.
