Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed in the green on Monday, backed by the bullish performance of the energy, telecom and banks stocks.
The general index advanced 0.11% or 4.81 points to reach 4,580.15 points.
Trading volume reached 41.59 million shares on Monday, compared to 22.2 million shares on Sunday. Turnover stood at AED 198 million, compared to AED 67.5 million.
The energy sector advanced 3.74% as TAQA and Dana Gas increased 4.17% and 3.64% respectively.
The telecom sector rose 0.5% after Etisalat grew 0.5%. Likewise, the banks sector went up 0.02% due to a rise in Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) by 1.3% and 0.87% respectively.
On the flipside, the real estate sector fell 0.79% as Aldar Properties lost more than 1%.
