ADX rises 38 pts in week

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) rose 0.79% or 38.40 points this week, as it closed at the level of 4,882.26 points, boosted by the real estate and telecommunication sectors.

The services sector was the market’s top gainer last week, logging a 6.88% rise, boosted by Abu Dhabi Hotels that gained 14.29%.

The real estate sector gained 4.84% after Aldar Properties rose 6.63%.

The telecom sector and its sole stock, Etisialt, increased 1.53%.

The energy sector gained 0.47% after ADNOC gained 5.94%, while TAQA fell 5.36%.

The banks sector gained 0.25%, supported by the First Abu Dhabi, which levelled up 1.42%.

The market has been witnessing high volume of liquidity trickling in during the past week, which helped the market regain its footing, coinciding with the disclosure of its financial results for the third quarter of 2018, commented Iyad Al-Barriqi, General Manager, Al Ansari Financial Services.
