Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) managed to close at a rise on Monday, backed by Etisalat and Aldar Properties.
The general index gained 0.26% or 10.82 points to reach 4,209.69 points.
Trading volume declined to 73.16 million shares on Monday from 115 million shares on Sunday. Likewise, turnover decreased 15.13% to AED 248.7 million from AED 293.40 million.
The consumer staples sector topped gainers after adding 3.33% through Agthia Group which advanced 3.87%.
The telecom sector levelled up 1.91%, backed by Etisalat.
The real estate sector increased 1.33% after Aldar Properties went up 1.74%.
Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials was the best performer after rising 7.14%, pushing the industrial sector to add 1.70%.
On the flipside, the energy sector declined 4.55% after Dana Gas retreated 6.25%.
The banks sector fell 0.51% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and First Gulf Bank slid 2.38% and 0.82%, respectively.
