ADX resumes losses Tuesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) reversed the positive performance it maintained for five successive sessions on Tuesday, backed by profit-taking on blue chips.

The general index fell 0.08% or 3.70 points to reach 4,571.91 points.

Trading volume reached 50.133 million shares on Tuesday, compared to 74.47 million shares on Monday. Turnover amounted to AED 104.52 million, compared to AED 159.57 million.

The investment sector fell 1.55% after Waha Capital declined 1.55%. The telecom sector retreated 0.55% as Etisalat sank 0.55%.

The energy sector levelled down 0.33% after TAQA sank 1.92%.

On the other hand, the real estate sector rose 0.087% as Aldar Properties gained 1.27%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank was the value leader after generating AED 29.67 million, while Aldar Properties was the most active stock with a trading volume of 8.9 million shares.

The banks sector led losers with a 0.01% decline after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) retreated 0.28%.
