Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index lost 15.92 points, or 0.34%, to close at 4,669.52 points on Monday, recording the second consecutive decline.
The telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, went down 0.87% each.
The real estate sector shed 0.53% after Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties sank 1.39% and 0.47%, respectively.
The banks sector declined 0.36%, as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) retreated 0.99% and 0.4%, respectively.
On the flipside, the consumer staples sector rose 2.23% after Agthia gained 2.33%, while the energy sector went up 2.12%, as Dana Gas soared 4.21%.
The ADX’s trading volume shrank to 84.55 million shares from 96.26 million on Sunday, while the market’s liquidity dropped to AED 153.4 million, compared to AED 182.05 million in the previous session.
