ADX loses most in 12 sessions Wednesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a negative performance on Wednesday, weighed down by the fall of real estate, telecom and banks sectors.

The main index reached 4,264.50 points after falling 1% or 42.89 points, its highest losses in 12 sessions.

Turnover reached AED 178.52 million on Wednesday, compared to AED 145.43 million on Tuesday. Trading volume stood at 104.158 million shares, compared to 124.95 million shares.

The real estate sector fell 2.25% after Eshraq Properties and Aldar Properties slid 3.66% and 2.24% respectively.

The telecom sector tumbled 1.6% as Etisalat decreased 1.6%. The banks sector also levelled down 0.71% as First Gulf Bank (FGB) and Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) sank 1.30% and 0.81% respectively.

On the flipside, the services sector rose 1.47% after International Fish Farming Holding (Asmak) and Abu Dhabi Aviation advanced 10.46% and 9.09% respectively.
