ADX gains AED 270m on Wednesday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) edged up by 0.13% or 5.53 points to close Wednesday's trading session at 4262.19 points, maintaining its positive performance on Tuesday, 21 July.

Turnover amounted to AED 343.37 million following the exchange of 65.27 million shares through 1,484 transactions.

The market cap value rose by AED 270 million to AED 601.66 billion, compared to AED 601.39 billion during the previous session.

The telecommunications segment led the risers with 1.93%, while the energy sector topped the decliners with 1.59%.

Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries (Julphar) headed the green zone with 10.09%, while Abu Dhabi National Company for Building Materials(BILDCO) came on top of the red zone with 4.95%.

Emirates Telecommunications Group (Etisalat), up 1.93%,  posted the highest trading volume of 15.67 million shares traded at a total value of AED 265.01 million.

Dana Gas led the losing blue chips with 2.42%.
