Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance in Wednesday’s mid-session, backed by the rise of telecom and banks sectors.
The main index rose 0.06% or 2.93 points to reach 4,574.84 points by 12:30 pm UAE time.
The market saw trading of 34 million shares through 550 transactions, with a turnover of AED 95.89 million.
The telecom sector gained 0.27% after Etisalat went up 0.27%.
The banks sector grew 0.09% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) went up 0.97% and 0.28%, respectively.
ADCB was the value leader after generating AED 28.9 million, while Dana Gas was the most active stock with a trading volume of 7.73 million shares.
On the other hand, the energy sector slid 0.9% after Dana Gas went down 1.47%. The real estate sector retreated 0.43% as Aldar Properties sank 0.83%.
