ADX falls 0.82% in week; Market cap amounts to AED 518.9bn

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index shed 41.92 points, or 0.82%, to reach 5,050.48 points during the week ended 26 December 2019.

Market capitalisation went down to AED 518.88 billion over the week, compared to AED 523.06 billion in the week before.

The banking sector sank 1.24% and the energy sector fell 1.92%, while the real estate sector inched up 0.01% and the telecom sector stabilised.

Umm Al Qaiwain Bank dropped 9.25%, Al Qudra plunged 8.71%, and Taqa plummeted 6.1%.

Sudatel declined by 4.95%, while Invest Bank, Dana Gas, Etisalat, and RAK Properties levelled down by 2.91%, 0.86%, 0.48%, and 0.47%, respectively.

At the other end of the spectrum, Adnoc Distribution grew 3.1%, Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank added 1.11%, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank increased by 0.51%, and First Abu Dhabi Bank rose by 0.39%.
