Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) closed Sunday’s trading session in green territory, backed by purchasing power in some of the blue-chip stocks.
The ADX’s general index added 45.5 points, or 0.90%, finishing the first session of the week at 5,098.30 points, shrugging off the previous declines.
The commodities sector led top gainers with 1.9% as Agthia levelled up 2.9% to AED 3.55.
The telecommunication sector went up 1.64% as Etisalat rose with the same percentage and the banks sector increased by 1.2% as First Abu Dhabi Bank added 1.92%.
The industrial sector edged up 0.63% as Arkan inched up 0.16% to AED 0.500 and the services sector added 0.33% as Abu Dhabi Aviation jumped by 1.75%.
On the other hand, the investment sector shed 0.62% as Waha Capital fell 8.4%, while the energy sector tumbled 3.3% as Dana Gas lost 5.39% to AED 0.913.
Trading volume amounted to 40.06 million shares exchanged through 1,264 transactions at a turnover of AED98.81 million.
