Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) maintained its positive performance for the second session in a row on Wednesday, spurred by the rise of the energy and telecom stocks.
The general index rose 0.25% or 11.65 points to reach 4,593.73 points.
The services sector topped gainers with a 1.96% growth as Gulf Medical Projects Company (GMPC) went up 15% to AED 4.60.
The energy sector added 0.93% as TAQA advanced 3.5%.
The telecom sector went up 0.86% after Etisalat increased 0.86%.
On the other hand, the real estate sector declined as Aldar Properties sank 0.88%.
Trading volume reached 50.72 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 72.3 million shares on Tuesday. Turnover amounted to AED 138.28 million, compared to AED 234.28 million.
Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) topped stocks in terms of turnover after generating AED 41.7 million, while Eshraq Properties was the most active stock with a trading volume of 17.13 million shares.
