Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) witnessed an upward trend for the eighth successive session on Tuesday.
The general index gained 0.41% or 18.71 points to reach 4,585.10 points, hitting the highest level since 20 October.
Trading volume reached 283.02 million shares on Tuesday, compared to 374.66 million shares on Monday.
Turnover fell to AED 344.873 million ($93.89 million) from AED 427.25 million ($116.317 million).
Meanwhile, the energy sector rose 3.81% after TAQA and Dana Gas advanced 4.26% and 3.70%, respectively.
The banks sector also increased 0.56% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB), Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) and First Gulf Bank (FGB) grew 3.81%, 1.62% and 1.12% in a row.
Etisalat was the value leader after generating AED 61.62 million, followed by Eshraq Properties at AED 55.47 million.
