ADX continues losses in mid-session

Abu Dhabi-Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) witnessed a downward trend in Monday’s mid-session, overshadowing the gains of real estate sector.

The general index fell 0.89% or 37.51 points to reach 4,161.36 points.

The market saw trading of 34.48 million shares through 1,000 transactions, with turnover of AED 89.5 million.  

The energy sector lost 3.32% as Dana Gas decreased 4.17%.

The banks sector levelled down 1.20%, weighed by Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and First Gulf Bank which slid 2.06% and 1.65%, respectively.

The telecom sector slumped 0.32% as Etisalat retreated 0.32%.

The real estate sector rose 0.46% as Aldar Properties gained 0.87%.

First Gulf was the value leader after generating AED 26.26.
