ADX closes near stable on energy, real estate Sunday

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange’s (ADX) general index inched up 3.56 points, or 0.08%, to close at 4,560.38 points on Sunday on the back of the energy and real estate sectors.

The ADX’s trading volume reached 109.65 million, while the market’s liquidity hit AED 140.24 million. 

The energy sector surged 2.28% after Dana Gas soared 3.88% and Adnoc Distribution added 1.21%.

The real estate sector grew 0.94%, as Eshraq Properties jumped 2.78%, while Aldar Properties went up 0.97%.

On the other hand, the telecommunication sector and its only stock, Etisalat, shed 0.29% each, while the banks sector lost 0.13% after Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) sank 0.72% and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) fell 0.26%.

Dana Gas topped the market in terms of both trading volume and value, with 63.21 million shares and a turnover of AED 66.87 million.
