ADX closes down on Sunday; market cap loses AED 510m

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The main index of Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) went down 0.44% or 18.68 points to close Sunday's trading session at 4,255.78 points, unlike its upward performance on Thursday, 16 July.

Turnover totalled AED 44.04 million after 25.09 million shares had been exchanged through 795 transactions.

The market cap value declined by AED 510 million to AED 594.79 billion, compared to AED 595.30 billion during the previous session.

The banks sector topped the decliners with 1.17%, while the energy segment led the risers with 0.69%.

Abu Dhabi Ship Building (ADSB) came on top of the losing stocks with 4.78%, while Waha Capital headed the rising stocks with 8.72%.

First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), down 0.80%, posted the highest turnover of AED 10.32 million, while Waha Capital recorded the highest trading volume of 4.80 million.

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company for Distribution (ADNOC Distribution) hit the top of the rising blue chips with 1.96%.
