Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) saw a positive performance on Wednesday, backed by the rise of blue chips amid volatile trades.
The general index rose 0.49% or 22.25 points to reach 4,594.16 points.
The telecom sector added 0.82% as Etisalat gained 0.82%.
Trading volume reached 47.63 million shares on Wednesday, compared to 50.13 million shares on Tuesday. Turnover amounted to AED 129.195 million, compared to AED 104.52 million.
The banks sector added 0.39% as Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and First Abu Dhabi Bank went up 0.97% and 0.46%, respectively.
The real estate sector gained 0.15% after Eshraq Properties grew 2.15%.
