ADIO supports three tech companies as part of AED 2bn innovation programme

UAE - Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO) has entered into individual partnerships to provide financial and non-financial incentives to three technology companies.

The ADIO will offer incentives to Callsign, Lyve, and RIZEK as part of its AED 2 billion ($545 million) innovation programme, according to a press release on Monday.

The partnerships bring ADIO’s total support for Abu Dhabi’s information and communications technology (ICT) sector to AED 865 million ($235 million) in 2021 for backing seven ICT companies.

With ADIO’s support, Anghami, Bespin Global, and STARZPLAY Arabia each set up new headquarters in Abu Dhabi, while Amazon Web Services (AWS) will soon launch a cloud infrastructure region in the UAE.

The Director-General of ADIO, Tariq bin Hendi, said: "We are now seeing companies from all over the world pioneering new technologies in Abu Dhabi, as the emirate emerges as a leading advanced technology hub, and the region’s HQ of tech HQs."

Hendi added: "Abu Dhabi is a long-term partner to businesses aligned with our strategic focus and we are here to help companies fast-track their progress, while ensuring they are suitably equipped to grow sustainably and make a real impact on the global stage."
