Abu Dhabi - Mubasher: Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD) will finance renewable energy projects in four developing countries in Africa and the Pacific, according to the general manager, Mohamed Saif Al Suwaidi.
Speaking on the sidelines of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) general assembly in Abu Dhabi Saturday, Al Suwaidi also revealed that the projects’ finance total value amount to AED 163.4 million ($44.5 million).
The four projects in Niger, Seychelles, Marshall Islands, and the Solomon Islands will produce around 32 Megawatts of energy, Al Suwaidi noted.
ADFD manager also stressed that the fund is keen on spreading renewable energy solutions in developing countries to help achieve sustainable economic development.
