Riyadh – Mubasher: Saudi ACWA Power and the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (EETC) signed three agreements to purchase 120 megawatt for solar power projects in Aswan, Egypt’s minister of electricity and renewable energy Mohamed Shaker told Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Tuesday.
Signing these agreements with ACWA Power aims to enhance, fund, construct, own, and operate three 120-megawatt solar photoelectric plants in the area of Banan in Aswan as a part of the feed-in tariff programme in the second phase, Shaker said.
The electricity sector is seeking to benefit from modern technologies in the production of electricity to meet the country's increasing demand, he added.
