UAE - Mubasher: The Equinix 2022 Global Tech Trends Survey showed that 93% of IT decision-makers in the UAE seek to expand their businesses within the upcoming 12 months.
A total of 66% of surveyed IT decision-makers announced their plans to grow into a new region, while 47% and 43% of businesses would expand in a new country and a new city, respectively, according to a recent press release.
To unlock cloud potential, 48% of IT decision-makers across the country seek to deploy virtually in the short term and then build permanent physical infrastructure in the new market.
The Managing Director of Equinix Middle East and North Africa (MENA), Kamel Al Tawil, commented: "It is evident that a post-pandemic economy is currently taking shape, with organizations overcoming the lingering COVID-19 challenges and accelerating their business recovery."
Al Tawil added: "The Global Tech Trends Survey reveals that IT decision-makers in the UAE are regarding the speeding up of innovation, digitization of business, and moving IT infrastructure to the digital edge as the highest priority in their organisation’s technology strategy."
