Mr Bala Krishnan Ponniah Mr. Bala Krishnan Ponniah was appointed to the Board of Pinehill Pacific Berhad “PinePac” in 2019. He is also the Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Bala Krishnan is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and also a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Bala qualified in UK and on his return joined Hanafiah Raslan & Mohamad (HRM)/Touche Ross in 1980. HRM subsequently merged with Arthur Andersen (AA) in 1986 and sometime in 2002 AA Malaysia merged with Ernst & Young (EY). During the period with HRM and AA, Bala held various positions leading to office Managing Partner of the Johor Bahru and Malacca branches in 1990 till his retirement in 2003. Sometime in 2003 he joined Moore Stephens Associates & Co (currently known as B P Associates) as its Managing Partner and continues todate to manage the firm providing Audit, Tax and Corporate Advisory services.
