TKE ALAT invests SAR 285 mn in Saudi elevator manufacturing facility

Riyadh – Sharikat Mubasher: Saudi Arabia’s TKE ALAT, a joint venture between TK Elevator and Alat, announced it has commenced the construction of a new elevator and escalator manufacturing facility in Dammam’s Third Industrial City, marking a major milestone in the Kingdom’s industrial development ambitions.

As per the company’s press release, the project will involve an investment of approximately SAR 285 million and span more than 40,000 square meters, with completion expected by the end of 2027. The facility is set to become the first elevator and escalator manufacturing operation in Saudi Arabia established by a global company.

Designed as a manufacturing and innovation hub, the site will include production lines, a product development center, a training facility, and a regional technical services team supporting maintenance and engineering operations across the region.

Ercan Keles, CEO Middle East at TK Elevator, said the project reflects the company’s long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia and will be the first TKE facility worldwide to manufacture low-, mid-, and high-rise elevators as well as escalators under one roof. He added that the venture will help create highly skilled jobs and strengthen local capabilities in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and services.

The groundbreaking advances the €160 million joint venture launched by TK Elevator and Alat in 2025, supporting Saudi Arabia’s efforts to become a regional hub for advanced manufacturing while meeting growing demand for urban mobility solutions across the Kingdom and the wider MENA region.
