CBE unveils T-bills worth EGP 85bn on Thursday

Cairo – Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) offered treasury bills (T-bills) at a combined value of EGP 85 billion through two auctions on Thursday, 18 December.

Valued at EGP 35 billion, the first issue will mature in 182 days on 23 June 2026, according to official data.

Holding a tenor of 364 days until 22 December next year, the second offering stood at EGP 50 billion.

Earlier this week, the CBE announced T-bills at an aggregated value of EGP 65 billion through two tranches.
