QSE ends Monday in decline

Mubasher: The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) finished Monday’s trading session with a negative performance after its main index declined 7.35 points, or 0.07%, to 10,489.04 points.

The bourse’s trading volume stood at 18.82 million shares, down from 29.76 million in the session before, while liquidity slumped to QAR 364.77 million, from QAR 486.46 million.

The consumer goods and services sector fell 2.09% as Mannai Corporation’s stock tumbled 6.64%, while the stock of Qatar Cinema and Film Distribution Company jumped 8.58%.

The industrials sector shed 0.44% after Qatar Aluminums Manufacturing Company’s (QAMCO) stock slid 4.69%.

On the other hand, the banks and financial services sector inched up 0.58% as the heavyweight Qatar National Bank’s (QNB) stock rose 1.02%.

QAMCO’s stock the market in both trading volume and value after 12.7 million shares were exchanged generating a turnover of QAR 155.9 million.
