Doha – Mubasher: Qatar General Insurance and Reinsurance Company posted on Monday a year-on-year fall of 28.57% in its profit for the second quarter of fiscal 2016.
Net profit reached QAR 31,960 ($8,770) in Q2-16, versus QAR 44,740 ($12,280) in Q2-15, according to a bourse filing.
In the first half of fiscal 2016, net profit also fell by 30.2% to QAR 85,650 from QAR 122,680 reported for the same period of 2015.
Earnings per share amounted to QAR 0.98 for H1-16, compared to QAR 1.4 for H1-15.
The company earlier posted a net profit of QAR 53,690 for Q1-16, 31.1% down from QAR 77,940 for Q1-15.
